My 2 cents, keep it in global and out of the document embosser setup.

I would also like to see the edit button called something different because 
everyone wants to press Edit because it seems the sensable thing to do when 
talking about a documents format but of course it has 
efects counter to setting your document format.

I might call it Edit hardware configuration or "Modify Embosser" or something.
