Great photos. I remain jealous of the variety of natural beauty you have our
there, especially the ocean views.
My winter preparation chores are mostly done so we have time to enjoy the
current series of sunny autumn days that Alberta doesn't ever seem to get
enough of. Temperatures are falling below zero at night but still warming up
in the day - although not high enough to meet our threshold for comfortable
golf, so we have put our clubs away. We still have leaves falling off the
trees (we are on a treed acreage) so I get to play with my back pack leaf
blower most days.
Other amusements here include trying to source parts for the seemingly
endless stream of small maintenance projects on our property and equipment.
The supply chain issues are very real and very annoying. We have been
waiting for 3 months for a new hot tub cover and 4 months for the stone we
ordered to resurface a wall in our enclosed porch. The required parts are
dribbling in for a power inverter upgrade for our 5th wheel trailer but I am
not having much luck trying to source a convection fan assembly for our
11-year-old Jenn-Air oven. The convection fan is a big problem for our
grandchildren because Marilyn has stopped making her special "Grandma
cookies" because they don't rise properly without the convection fan
working.
Hopefully everyone is keeping busy, occupied and mentally healthy during
this seemingly endless pandemic.

Subject: summer pictures
These are just some pictures taken during my morning walks. The first group
of four are actually two pictures I took which a local painter liked and
used. Naturally, Alida had to buy the sunflower (with crow added) painting,
while the poppy flowers paintings were sold to someone from Portland. The
waterfall picture is of two people in the top left corner who are
dangerously climbing the wet rocks.at Elk River Falls The remaining
pictures are just my normal views as I go on my morning walks - now up to 6
km. The last picture is of the twice a week stair climb I do of 150-meter
elevation gain.
With COVID, forest fires, politics, and strange weather, it has been a
different summer and now we are into fall with welcome rain and unwelcome
winter preparation chores.
