Rick,

It's Sunday in Alberta and you like photos, so here are some of what we woke
up to 2 weeks ago on a Sunday morning. The temperature was right at zero
degrees, so the snow was sticky and most of it was gone by the end of the
day. It was the week Willow moved into her place in Red Deer. Kind of a
welcome to Alberta and a reminder "You are not in White Rock anymore".

You also sent wildlife pictures, so I am including one of our regular
Piliated Woodpeckers that winter at Bob's feeders. I feel like a farmer. I
buy feed at a feed store in 20kg bags and am out filling feeders ever second
day when it's cold. We have about a hundred Red Polls that also winter in
our yard. They flock the feeders for about 6 hours a day and then burrow
into the snow on the roof to stay warm. Seriously, I had to ask Mr. Google
what they were doing.

I love seeing pictures.  These sunrises are what I see sitting at the
breakfast table having my morning coffee.  Although living on the coast, I
do not have a water view,  but I do look into the forest and see the
animals, I trapped the raccoon and moved it to a safer home.
