Hi Willow and Bryan - I do not know if this is still possible for you but the
BC Health Services Card app might be worth checking into if you still can. It
is not user friendly to get, but once you have it, being able to list what
prescriptions you are on becomes easy as well as proving your vaccinations. I
went thru the process and took a screen shot of the vaccinations which has been
accepted as proof. I attached the screenshot of my vaccination card and
prescriptions which I need each time I go to the dentist or eye doctor. I do
have a friend working on producing for free a tutorial to help with the
application process.

I understand mobility issues at the age of 77.I golf 3 times a week and last
year started taking a cart.My legs just couldn’t take it.I also bought a golf
cart and tricked it out to a work cart by installing a box.It helps me to get
quickly to the corners of the vineyard when our Gator is in use.My vineyard
worker suffered a heart attack and is presently convalescing so the grape work
of hedging and netting falls to me.I carry a stool and sit down every half hour
or so to rest my legs.Growing old isn’t fun nor is working flat out at this

I grew up on the Canadian prairies. This is not normal, not at all. One
remarkable change- almost at the end summer and I have yet to see even one
mosquito. Today though, the warm day evidently freed a number of flies. Not a
problem but noticeable. And few crows but gatherings of magpies. Pretty birds
in groups of sever or even more. In my memories they tended to be solitary.
Relief. A major problem for me has been solved. Hours on the phone and I
suspect most would have given up or not even started.
An answer from an unanticipated source proved the final step.
I am certainly concerned about my declining mobility. Walking has become a
chore and stairs need A railing or wall. I seem to have every symptom of a
nasty condition waiting for me. Of course that is one of the curses of the
Internet is those like me self-diagnosing. Another reason I regret leaving our
little house. I had the same doctor for years and now must start again. I am
sure the new fellow, also within scooter range, is good but he lacks the
background of my life. I can assume nothing.
Now that life is slipping into a routine it is back to reading. A book on the
Trent Affair that almost caused a war between the US and U K. As close as the
Cuban crisis over a hundred years later. And a wonderful book on my TBR pile
on that crisis. In each case pride almost made a war very close. For
fiction,some light mysteries by Victoria Abbott centeredon book collectors.
One reason I bought this home was its closeness to four large grocery stores,
two large malls and every other small business you can name. All within easy
scooter range. The grass is cut,the roads will be plowed, and notwithstanding
proximity to a major artery, quiet.
And as this post shows, I have returned to my chatty posts. That’s my way.
