Same filly I talked about driving in halter hated shots as did a couple of
our Welsh mares. Filly had a injury as a yearling and had to be stitched
up; so she had a reason to be fearful. Anyway, I discovered that if I would
let them eat from a bucket of grain while the shots were being administered,
things went well. It's not bribery. If you get them chewing, they relax.
Works well for a lot of things.
