A few months back Wendy Ying and I purchased a pair of Welsh Cob x Pinto
geldings. They are double registered, although I think they just make it in for
the color requirements, or are breeding stock. Anyway, they are four year olds,
really cute, great personality. Wendy has been riding them and we have been
working them single and pair. Wendy took one of the pair to a little Driving
Trial/fun day, and he was a gem. Last Sunday afternoon, we took the pair to a
Piedmont Driving Club picnic drive and they were super! They didn't mind the
four-in-hands trotting by, or head to tail line driving down the road. They
stopped and stood despite the horrible bugs, didn't mind when we deviated from
the route and left the group, and stood quietly in the trailer when we had our
picnic dinner. What more could we ask for? If I can figure out how to do it,
I'll send a pic to the board.
