Thanks Helen, sorted!

Hi folks, just to introduce myself, My name is Dianne Setterington and I live
in Hull, England.

I have been driving singles for some time for pleasure and long distance with
the odd show (sometimes very odd) thrown in.

the last few years haven't been very kind to me as in 2003 i had to have my
black and white gypsy cob Tilly put down due to suspensory ligament injury to
her back leg which was beyond repair. I got my other skewbald mare going and
in 2004 my lorry blew up! in 2005 my little spotted pony reared up and broke
my husband's (and groom) foot, which put paid to that year.

2006 I thought aha, cracked it. then in March i discovered i got breast
cancer which did for that year too. However, having cancer really does give
you perspective and I thought i would realise all my dreams whilst i could.

my husband's cousin, who drives teams up to 8 in hand, has friesian
stallions, so i went to visit, allegedly to look at the one mare he had. we
came away with a 3 year old unbroken stallion (in july 2006) - Jip. He took me
out on his carriage and pair and i had a go. HOOKED! I wanted a pair, so I
did a crazy thing and bought one from holland unseen on the internet.
Allegedly ride and drive, single and pair 4 year old stallion - Iesel.

Well, he did what it said on the tin and i had Jip broken to harness by my
husband's cousin and sent Iesel there when Jip was ready to put to as a pair.
they are beautifully matched and work together really well.

We are hoping to do some long distance later on in the season, so watch this
space. I attach a pic, which isn't brilliant, but hope to do more later.

Happy new year to you all

  Regards
  Dianne
