If you do a search on Google, dvd formats, you can read about the differences, 
between PAL and  NTSC.  If you have dvd's check them for the format. Good 
chance you already have some in the PAL format.  Or, rent one.

  The last DVD player (recorder/player) that I bought about 2 months ago did 
mention the PAL format as one that was acceptable.   The way to be sure is 
"shop" WalMart and look at some of the new players to see what formats they 
accept.   Inexpensive ones are only $39.95 or thereabouts...

  I too, would like to order a copy of the DVD and wondered the same thing.   
Please let us all know.  Incidentally, he did say in his reply to my inquiry, 
that the DVD was in French but that there was very little commentary, mostly 
music and video of he and the horses.
