Driver’s Ed at Kentucky Horse Park

If  you've always wanted to learn to drive horses, here are several 
opportunities to  learn from scratch or to brush-up on your skills. The 
Kentucky Horse 
Park is  offering the following classes: 
Introduction to Single Driving, $75.00 (limit 8),  March 3, 9am to 4pm, or 
May 6, 9am to 4pm  
In this one-day class you will be  shown the basics and safety of single 
horse driving, how to fit harness, learn  about collar and breast collar 
harness 
and how to choose, put the horse to cart,  basic driving skills, balance of 
cart, and more.  
Starting a Horse to Drive, $55.00 (limit  10), March 18, 9am to 4pm, or April 
22, 9am to 4pm  
Learn how to introduce a horse to  harness, fit the harness, put the horse to 
the cart, and pulling weight, holding  back, training to shafts, as well as 
other beginning driving information.  
Introduction to Team Driving, $65.00 (limit  14), September 2, 9am to 4pm  
In this one-day class you will be  shown the basics and safety of team 
driving, how to fit harness to a team,  adjusting lines, hook the team, choices 
of 
vehicles, choosing a team, basics  driving skills, balance in driving, and 
more.
