Hi Heidi,
The one I got is not just PAL since it works fine for me. I got it
in 2005. Most of the DVD's my husband bought in the Netherlands on the same
trip (about 6 jazz ones) were marked PAL but were dual format. MAYBE I was
just lucky but mine works on my NTSC equipment.

Claudia,
I went to Spain also and saw all that you did. I also bought both DVDs while
there, but the carriage one is in PAL format, not NTSC. I was told they only
made the performance DVD one in NTSC,(not the carriage museum one). The gift
shop at the school only sold the PAL version.
PAL is the European viewing format and will not display correctly in the US;
it would have to be converted.
