There were a few items discussed at Wednesday’s meeting thatwere more pressing
but due to a lack of quorum we could not pass them. Below are the two motions
that weremade. If people could reply by email, wecould approve them before our
next meeting. We only need two more votes in favour as the 7 voting members
that werepresent have already voted in favour (but if others would like to
weigh in onthe issue, please feel free to do so).
Motion #1 – That the DPC give $300 towards the purchase ofnew timers and chess
boards for the chess club. Made by Jocelyn Jay, Seconded by Trisha Simon. All
present in favour.
Motion #2 – That $10 from pizza funds be used as a tip forthe delivery driver
each month. Made byJocelyn Jay, Seconded by Cathy Costa-Morris. All present in
favour.
Also, the year end event at Mohawk Parkwas discussed and the consensus was to
move towards a more low key event ratherthan cancelling it altogether.
Bringyour own picnic dinner and have some minimal prep activities. I have
attached a sample flyer. We can discuss this further at the nextmeeting. Hope
