First words:
No fooling! By which I mean, this publication has never
indulged in any sort of foolishness on April first (and
never will). :) Just sayin'.
Is it me or is this year zooming by at a phenomenal rate?
As of the 9th of April I'll have been in New Mexico for
two years and have yet to play a gig with my own band, but
at least I do finally have a band of my own. We've had one
official practice session so far with more to come. I like
to work in a trio because it's easier to get booked, even
though it's a lot more work in performance. Our tentative
band name is Three Legged Dog. Do you like it? Do you
have any suggestions for a better name? Let me know. :)

Last words:
New Mexico has relaxed the mask mandates for the most part
but plenty of folks still choose to wear masks when out
and about in public (and some entertainment venues are
still insisting that folks wear masks). It's not a big
deal to me. by now I'm used to wearing a mask and often
put one on before going into a restaurant or retail store,
whether or not they have a sign on the door asking folks
to wear masks. Who knows when a new variant of the
Corona virus is going to manifest itself? Better some
protection, however ineffective, than none. $.02.
