It's late Fall in Texas. It'll be 45°F (7°C) out tonight
and the high tomorrow will be 92°F (33°C) and that's pretty much
how it's going to be for the next few weeks. Everybody I know
keeps extra coats, jackets, stocking caps and gloves in
their car at all times in November, December, January and
February because you just never know when there's gonna be
a cold snap.
Lisa has the gardening bug again but deer proof fences are
expensive and we have lots of deer here in the village.
If you can't afford a deer proof fence the only way you can
garden is to grow things that deer won't eat. She's happily
planting garlic and onions in containers and I expect we'll
have a container of Rosemary before it's over.
So, off we go again...

Sometimes it occurs to me just how much the internet has
changed my life. We still go to town for groceries and stuff
from Lowes or Home Depot but most of the rest of our shopping
is done online. Back in the day, if I wanted to learn about
something unusual I'd have to ask around among my friends or
make a trip to the library to research it. Now I can go to
google and learn about anything at all in just a few minutes.
