Hey Guys,
A couple years ago while doing my "Reading Through the Bible", as I went
through it, I picked out an important scripture from each of the 66 books.
I feel like it would be a good thing if we memorize these scriptures this
year.
So, here is the "Memory Scriptures" for the week of January 3 and also this
week of January 10.
If you will do this, not only will it be a blessing because you are
memorizing God's Word, but at the end of 66 weeks, you will be able to quote
an important scripture from each book of the Bible.
Week of January 3
Genesis 1:1-3
1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face
of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Week of January 10
Exodus 20:1-17 (modified)
And God spake all these things saying:
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images.
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy.
Honor thy father and thy mother.
Thou shalt not kill.
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Thou shalt not steal.
Thou shalt not bear false wittness.
Thou shalt not covet.
