There is no native wiki syntax supporting this. There are two methods:
[[http://wiki.splitbrain.org/_media/:wiki:dokuwiki-64.png|A mediafile]]
Or you define an interwiklink
media http://wiki.splitbrain.org/_media/
then use the following syntax:
[[media>:wiki:dokuwiki-64.png|A mediafile]]
