Yes this was a naming mess, i'm to blame for it. Due to a memory error
(brain) I forgot to change the date and used a number (2) for the name
of the RC release, which we never did. Should not happen again.

I hope you guys will consider changing your naming convention, and maybe
retag Hogfather RC2 accordingly.

I thought about retagging the RC2, but let's just move to RC3 which is
out. Everybody will forget about RC2 in little time.

And while you're at it, you might also want to delete the
'release_candidate' tag, which actually points to the same commit as
'release_stable_2018-04-22c' (so it's not a release candidate at all).
