Hi Martin,

no it is not. Think of UNIX which stores its passwords in the /etc/shadow as text ... even a database may be highly insecure. The point is the encryption of the passsword and the correct file access settings. Both /etc/shadow and dokuWiki do encrypt their paswords, so don't worry about that ;)

Best regards,
Gerry.

Hi all

I have just started using docuwiki and has previously used Mediawiki. I am no PHP shark and is wondering if it is not more unsafe as I suppose Docuwiki store users passwords in a texftile. Isn't this somewhat more unsafe than if it was stored in a database?

With regards
Martin
