[dokuwiki-teams] automated log checking?

HI,
I've reviewed some logs of apache and found that some of the webapps
running on the server have problems which are logged by php (*.php.log).
Would it help if these logs would be sent via mail for escalation?
For this I think about installing and configuring logcheck which can
scan log files, compare them with a whitelist and escalate the log
entries not whitelisted via mail.
If I should install logcheck I need to know who has to be informed
about the logs.
