I'm embarrassed to say I wrote the code and I can't for the life of me
remember the answer! You should talk directly with Scott Selfon at
Microsoft (this may be NDA territory.)

I'm migrating some work from PC to Xbox which includes stereo streaming
wavs
and I'm getting an error saying the xbox can only submix mono sources.
Does
this mean I have to split all my stereo wavs into pairs of mono? That
would
also mean completely reworking my pChannel assignments and the
controller
data I use to do crossfades etc if I needed 2 channels for each stream
(I
don't know of any other way to play 2 wavs panned hard left and hard
right).
If anyone can cast a bit of light on this I'd be very grateful.
