Dear friends of photography,

yet, another week has passed by.
You might recall (if not, the message is just below), I asked for some contributions/feedback from you fellow list-members (10.07).
Even earlier, I asked you to share your ideas/wishes on this particular platform (08.07.).

To be honest with you, I feel that I am bulling you with stuff you're not actually interested in.

And here, I am confused. I was given the result of a survey, which indicated the desire for photo-walks and similar activities.
I do notice that the activities requested in the survey, now actually provided, are followed poorly, if at all.

Please note that there wont be an even on July 21st, since I did not receive any propositions.

Zomercarnaval will take place with or without us...

Meet 'n Shoot HDR will live or die dependent on your participation.

Mind you, I volunteered to coordinate events, not necessarily to invent all of them.
Cheers,
Dr. J.

Dear friends of photography,

having passed the solstice a couple of weeks ago, the day are getting dark earlier again, which indicates that the summer vacation season is about to commence.
I figure that not all of us are leaving the same time, meaning, there might me some remaining club-crowd interested in activities.

July 14th is in the light of one of the most powerful raw development tools available: RawTherapee. We will look into its capabilities in particular with the film simulation available from "Hald CLUT".

July 21st was originally reserved for a presentation which will now take place in September (or later). Hence, this day is still open for your presentations/requests.
Presentation by members are most welcome!
Mind you, place a request early, such that I can invite an expert or prepare a presentation myself.
Personally, I propose that we analyze some classic Hollywood movie footage together.

July 25th The Parade of the Zomer Carnaval will take place in Rotterdam:

Already some club-members indicated their presence. Let's have a (Afro-) Caribbean party and join the fun!
Meeting-point: Schouwburgplein (in front of "De Doelen") 12:00-12:30.

July 28th is dedicated to a Meet 'n Shoot club meeting. This Meet 'n Shoot will be dedicated to HDR. Please bring your camera and your computer on which Photomatix and/or LuminanceHDR should be installed. For this event, please let me know if you will join, such that I can decide on going on vacation myself.

During the last post-processing clinic, the idea was born to do a hyperlapse project.
While image taking for a hyperlapse can be tedious work, the stabilization of said images can be done easily by using blender:

The same can be done on a sequence of images:

Blender is available for all popular platforms. The only thing we have to decide upon is what to shoot.
Please let your creative juices flow and share those on this list.

That's all I got for now.
I hope to see some contributions from list-members too!

Cheers,
Joachim
