Dear all Duskin Fellow,

My sincere gratitude for your continuous support and cooperation.

Since accomplish of the 4th Duskin Leadership Training in Japan I am working 
hard to improve the surroundings for PWD's for their independent living in a 
barrier free society.

Along this mail I have attach some of my activities report. 

  1.. DAISY for All -
My organization YPSA selected Daisy focal Point, and I am working as a daisy 
focal person to promote 

Daisy in Bangladesh.

For more information please read the enclosed attachment DFA_Report.

  2.. Convener ICT Thematic Group -
I have selected as a convener ICT thematic group of NFOWD(National Forum of 
Organization working with Disabilities)

Please find the attach first Meeting -minutes of ICT thematic Group.

  3.. Training and Employment Project - 
YPSA ICT & Resource Center for the Disabled, Action aid and HSBC bank 
implementing  Training and Employment Project in Bangladesh. I am working as a 
coordinator of the project.

     4. CCBPC - 

 

I am working as a Volunteer Monitor of Chittagong Computerized Braille 
production Center[CCBPC].

    5. VIP's -

 Elected as a Executive member of Bangladesh Visual Impaired Peoples 
Society(VIPs) for 2005 and 2007.

  6.CBR Program -

 YPSA is implementing CBR programme in Sitakund (one sub district of 
Chittagong) since 1989 with the support of Action Aid. Our CBR programme name 
is DISC(Development Initiatives for Social Change).This is our one of the long 
term programme for the grass roots PWDs in that area. And I am working as a 
monitoring officer of the project.

 7.CSD - 

 YPSA is providing full support to the Chittagong regional Network called 
"Chittagong Society for the Disabled(CSD)" and At present YPSA holding  the 
Chairmen of this network executive committee. Total 21 NGOs are the full member 
of this network and we have full secretariat office. CSD is the Govt. registered

organization and most of the funds are coming from partner NGOs and local 
communities. Main role of the CSD are information dissemination to PNGOs , 
advocating

local and regional Government, private sector and Media and Mass awareness etc. 
We have already developed detail action plan for the next year.

 *  As YPSA , we have a plan to set up a One stop Study and Service center for 
the PWD's in Chittagong city which is the business capital of the Bangladesh. 
CSD

members and other organizations and any PWDs will be user of this center.

Also we have a plan to take some initiatives on "ICT4D and PWDs" ,

" Mobility", "Regional and National Advocacy", "Capacity Development Training 
specially entrepreneurship development", "Job creation and placement service for

the PWDs", "HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention with the PWDs", "Networking with 
Govt.-NGO-CSO-Media-Private sector-Community" etc.
