It is the 'Version needed to extract' field of the Central Directory entry. As with all the fields it is (or shortly will be) read-only. 10 = zip ver 1.0 compatible version (or above) required 20= 2.0 required This value is set by the compression program to the lowest applicable value. Rename may alter it if the new name does/does not have extended characters. (among other things ver 1.0 does not support them). - Russell Peters ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Aschbacher" <peter.aschbacher@xxxxxx> To: <delphizip@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, August 23, 2004 3:20 AM Subject: [delphizip] ZipDirEntry.Version The ZipDirEntry record field 'Version' (please note: this is not MadeByVersion nor HostVersionNo) returns two different values (not reproducible): 10 or 20. What is the purpose of this record field? Can I write my own values to = it or is intended to only read from it?
