Roger,
Visit: lazarus.freepascal.org

It is almost a clone of Delphi. But it is open source and works under linux,
windows, macos and .... well, you just have to code once and compile anywhere.
It uses the FPC.
DelphiZip should be compiled in FPC before trying to use it in Lazarus. (my
opinion)
Dlls are not welcome once you cannot use Dlls in Linux (only .so :)

Don't know what Lazarus is ;-)

You can avoid the DLl's in DelphiZip by inlcuding the ResDlls.res
in your application, ZipMAster will then create temporary dll's as
  needed.
