I think it would be good to discuss Homecoming plans on the call. I learned
from the College that the “Emeriti Club Gathering and Citation of
Award Program� that I had planned to attend will not be held as
originally planned. It will be replaced by a virtual event. It turns out that
Rick DeTar’s comment about there being no free lunch (see below)
was prescient! Â
I did see that the Homecoming schedule has a “Delmega
Gathering� scheduled at The Park Club from 6pm to 9pm on Friday October
15. Given all factors, I am wondering if we will be able to assemble a quorum.

Our one and only Harry Garland is being honored by K with the
Citation of Merit Award at an emeriti club gathering October 16 (Homecoming).
(So much for efforts to discourage non reunion year events!)
A bit early to be certain, but that would be good incentive for me
and maybe some other Delmega Michiganders to show up for that event.
And for those in Class of 1963, the other honoree is a member of
your class.
Might we ask if Harry could borrow the “hairy
garlandâ€� for the event? 😊
