*ON MONDAY, August 1st at 12:00 NOON! The Health Alliance Network will have
its August meeting. After a COVID and MONKEYPOX update, we will have a
special update presentation by Anita Roach, Vice President of the Food
Allergy Research Education (FARE, Inc.). Following her presentation, we
will have an OPEN DISCUSSION on the future of community health in the
District of Columbia! We will talk about:*

*2. The Opioid Solutions Working Group/Opioid Overdose Awareness Day
Planning will meet THIS FRIDAY, 7/29 at 12 Noon. The Wednesday, August 31st
event partners include: MBI Health, Inc, Oxford House, Total Family Care
Coalition, Ward 8 ANC's, Psychiatric Institute of Washington, The Medi,
Inc., Long Live DC, United Medical Center, R1 Learning, Family & Medical
Counseling Service, Inc. and others. There will be Covid vaccines
available for adults and children with a $50 gift card provided. The
August 31st event will take place at the ARC's Black Box theater, starting
at 6 pm (vaccinations starting at 5:30 pm). A candlelight vigil will
immediately follow at the outside amphitheater honoring victims of the
OPIOID CRISIS. You will also hear the voices of those in recovery who have
overcome and begun the journey to wellness. Planning meeting this Friday.
