Candidate Forum
In preparation for the upcoming Democratic Primary, the Ward 7 Dems are
excited to announce our 2022 Candidate Forums for Mayor, Attorney General,
Council Chair and At-Large Councilmember. The forum is being planned as a
two-part, hybrid event that will give Ward 7 residents a chance to hear
from the candidates running for these offices directly.
Join us on Zoom or in-person on February 26th, as we host At-Large and
Council Chair candidates at St. Luke's, 4925 East Capitol St NE, and on
March 5th, as we host Mayor and Attorney General candidates at Park
Kennedy, 1901 C St SE. These forums are happening in lieu of February's
general body meeting.

Tony Dugger to serve as the interim Ward 7 Committeeman on the D.C.
Democratic State Committee, an important vacancy left from the recent
passing of Mr. Philip Hammond.
Bio: Dugger is native Washingtonian. For nearly 25 years, he served his
community in many different capacities. As a community leader and long-time
advocate, he has devoted his entire career to improving the conditions of
overlooked and underserved communities. He also spent a brief time in
education as an Adjunct Professor at James Madison and Georgia State
Universities as well as Prince George's and Montgomery Community Colleges.
Currently, he is a two term appointee of the Mayor, now serving as the
Adjudications Ombudsman for the Department of Motor Vehicles and previously
the first Executive Director of the Commission on Fathers, Men and Boys. He
is also President of the DC Democratic Black Caucus.
