I hope this note finds you well. My name is Kalecia Baity, and I am the
Program Manager for the College and Career Readiness office at the DC
Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). I am reaching out
to share an incredible FREE opportunity for the public and public charter
school high school students in your Wards to take college courses and earn
college credit for FREE while still enrolled in high school.
Please share the attached flyer (English and Spanish) and below information
with your communities.
*High School Students Take College Classes for FREE!*
The *spring 2023* OSSE Dual Enrollment Consortium Program application is
NOW OPEN for all DC Public and Public Charter school students and* closes
Oct. 14, 2022*.
*Who is eligible for the DC Dual Enrollment Consortium Program? *
*Spring 2023 (application is open NOW):*
- Students must be enrolled in an eligible District of Columbia public
or public charter school and pursuing a secondary credential such as a high
school diploma or GED.
- Students must be rising 10th, 11th or 12th graders with at least a 2.5
GPA.
- Adult students seeking a GED must score a 145 or higher on two GED
Ready tests, one of which must be English Language Arts.
