Building Bridges to Opportunity Construction Infrastructure Training Program:
In partnership with the District Department of Transportation, we are offering
an 8-week infrastructure construction class to train people to work with DDOT
and their contractors. The program runs from April 5-May 26, M-F, 9am-1pm There

USPS Job Fair: The Post Office is hiring for several positions. They will be
having an information session at the Workforce Center on Wednesday, February 23
from 11am – 2pm at the Workforce Center. No registration is required.
Digital Literacy: We are offering a basic digital literacy class that covers
how to use a computer, how to use email, and how to look for and apply for jobs
online. The class is on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, at 2pm, from
February 23 – March 17. To register, please call the Center at 202-793-2141
Retail Training: The Skyland Workforce Center is now offering National Retail
Foundation Retail Industry Fundamentals certification. This four-day class will
help graduates find a career in retail. The next class will be in April, anyone
who is interested can call the Workforce Center at 202-793-2141.
And of course, the popular Life Asset small business program still meets every
week (virtually for now) on Thursdays at 6pm. Participants can join at this
