Hi there,
My name is Kara and I am part of the research team at Children's National
Hospital. I'm reaching out today to see if any of your members would be
interested in participating in focus groups aimed to reduce adolescent
relationship abuse (ARA). ARA is a significant public health concern affecting
millions of adolescents annually, and adolescents experiencing ARA are at
increased risk for negative health outcomes.
We want to adapt pre-existing ARA interventions to focus on ARA prevention
(healthy relationship promotion) and ARA victim/survivor services. We would
like to involve parents and adolescents from the community in the planning
process.
Focus group sessions will be virtual and held at a time convenient to
participants and will take no more than 90 minutes of your time. There may be
up to six 90 minutes sessions. You will be provided with a $50 gift card, per
session, for participants' time.
