On 1 January, I post a recap of deaths reported on my sites during the previous
year, and I say a few words about some of the people. I’m going to try handing
that job over to some of you this year. Sometime before 1 January, e-mail me
with your tributes to people who died in 2021 who I reported on my web sites. I
will place some of them in the monthly mailout sent on 1 January 2022.
If you want to send me something:
1. Be sure the person is on my Recent Deaths page.
2. Be brief. I’m thinking around 10 to 20 words, with 50 as a hard upper limit.
3. I’ll credit your tribute to you by name or nickname unless you ask me not to
(but I won’t post your full e-mail address).
4. If you’re submitting multiple tributes, please put them in the same e-mail.
5. Put “Tribute” in the subject line as the first word or only word.
6. Politically-tinted tributes are acceptable, but stay low key and keep a
positive tone in all respects.
7. Send it to me before January 1.
I may receive too many tributes to use all of them, so please don’t be
disappointed if I don’t use yours.
