Are we talking about a soft synth? A wave file? A recording? Also, what
interface are you using? You might be experiencing a dropout, but hard to tell
from the description.

Subject: [ddots-l] weird problem
Hello all:
I have a very weird problem that recently happened in different periods of
time. When I play a file, everything is okay. The next time I open it again,
when Jaws says "welcome back" I heard a clicking sound and then when I hit play
or play the keyboard, no sound plays. I have to reopen another file which can
play the sound and then open this weird file. If I didn't hear the clicking
sound, it will play the sound again. I tried it many times using different
ways. There's no error message and I cannot find any other issue. Anybody know
what happened?
