Hey Rui,

Thanks for the program. I just tried it and the app keeps crashing. I
could send you the error message off list if you'd like.

Hi, this is Rui once again,

with one more ... FREE PROGRAM!

Ho yeah !!!

Do you ever wanted to make your own sound library ?

Capture the sound of your piano, your accordion, your guitar, bass, violin,
flute, well , any instrument, and make one!

Well, what it is a sound library?

Shortly speaking, it is a set of archives of sounds, and an SFZ archive
with
written programming associated.

That it will be able to be used in a DAW ( Digital Audio Workstation)
program as the Sonar, even though to play with your midi keyboard.

What it is the SFZMAKER?

The SFZMAKER is a sfz editor.

This program was develop to facilitate you to create sfz libraries, without
almost no SFZ programming knowledge.

How it works?

The functioning of the program is the following:

Unpacking the program, SFZMAKER will create a folder with a executable
inside called sfzmaker-enu.exe

Inside of this folder, create one sub-folder containing the corresponding
Waves archives to the library that you want to construct.

When initiating the program, it will ask for the name of your new library.

Type the desired name, and press enter.

We suggest that the name of the library always starts with:

Library-xxx, where "xxx" are the complement of the name.

Example: Library-piano1

You will now be asked for the waves archives folder name.

simply type the exact folder name.

After that, the program allows that you choice between version 1, and
version 2.

To create a percussion library, press 1.

To create a instrument library, as for example a piano or guitar, Press 2.

Now comes the configuration parameters area, do not need to modify none of
them,

simply press enter for each one.

Note: Sfzmaker already is programmed automatically to insert Opcodes that
we
soon conclude to be already efficient by standard.

Evidently, in case that you are already an advanced user and desire to make
some adjustment, you can adjust the values of each parameter,

opening its edit field with the A key.

Type the new values and press Enter to accept and to pass to the next
parameter.

In case that your library needs more advanced Opcodes , We suggest that you
learn samplers configuration parameters.

Anyhow, keep in mind that if needed, you will be able to modify the values
or even write down new Opcodes inside the SFZ archive, open the archive
with
the application notepad.

In the end, the program will export the result, generating an sfz archive,
that it will be your library.

Important! place this SFZ archive, inside the Waves folder of the
corresponding library.

In case if desired, you can copy and paste this folder, inside the sfz,
that
it is inside vstplugins of Sonar.

Done! Your library is ready to be used!

Recommendations for creation of audio samples:

Pay attention the quality and tuning of each sound.

The used format is wave.

(at least 44,1 khz 16 bits is recommended)

Version 1, percussion library:

Simple!

You just need to name each archive starting with the musical note name, or
Midi number, followed by the drum kit element name.

For example:

C4-snare.wav

C#3-BassKick.wav

Or;

41-shaker.wav

Note: Below you will find a table explaining the musical notes and
corresponding Midi numbers.

Version 2, instrument library:

Using a piano library as example;

With the SFZMAKER editor, you only need to record 19 piano notes

!Even less if we are talking of other instrument like a guitar and so on.

Yes, without concern, you don't need to record all the notes of an
instrument, the SFZMAKER will create remaining notes automatically.

Beyond being a faster process, also certainly, the number of archives is
reduced, as well as the size in megas of the final library.

Table with the musical notes and its Midi related numbers:

In this system, basing on a piano;

The lowest note is; A0 midi 21 .

(Even so it can go to F0 or C0).

The middle note is; C4 Midi 60 .

The highest note is; C8 Midi 108 .

Creating a piano library:

The 19 musical notes that you need to record:

f1, f2, f3, f4, f5, f6, f7

a1, a2, a3, a4, a5, a6,

cSharp2, cSharp3, cSharp4, cSharp5, cSharp6, cSharp7,

Being the corresponding numbers:

29, 41, 53, 65, 77, 89, 101,

33, 45, 57, 69, 81, 93,

37, 49, 61, 73, 85, 97,

Creating a guitar library:

f2, f3, f4, f5

a2, a3, a4, a5

cSharp3, cSharp4, cSharp5, (if possible CSharp6).

41, 53, 65, 77

45, 57, 69, 81

49, 61, 73, (if possible 85).

The essential idea is, whichever the musical instrument, you will only have
to record some musical notes, the referred 3 CSharp, F, A .

They are only 3 notes for octave, the possible ones to reach in the
instrument.

An interval of four in four notes

Once again, other notes will be completed by the SFZMAKER !

This is the version 2 advantage.

For version 2, we recommend to name each archive starting for the
corresponding Midi number, followed of the name.

For example;

61-DonyPiano-C#4.wav

Note: Inside also Goes one piano library example , made with the SfzMaker

!

Finally: Like recent share free programs, DonyRec and Tablindtura editor ,
Sfzmaker is also a simple application that doesn't need to be installed.

We hope you enjoy and start making your own SFZ libraries!

My gratitude to Dony de Paula .
