Describe step by step what you're doing and what you're trying to accomplish so 
I and other people on the list could get a clearer picture.

    Are you in the event view when you try to delete the notes?
    Did you select them before deleting them?
    If you deleted everything in the event view, you'll go back to the track 
since its emty now.

      When I try to use the event filter dialog to delete a particular note, I 
cannot. When I press control delete, it deletes the whole tract even I selected 
the notes I want in the event view. And,also, after it deleted the notes, 
instead of landing me back in the event view, it lands me in the tract view. Is 
that a CT problem?

        Not here.  However, the headers of your message suggest you are 
accessing your Hotmail account via Outlook Express 6.  This could be part of 
the problem.
