Audrey, yes I was working in the LightHouse band back in the 80's, boy that was a long time ago. That's great advice, I will heed your advice. I will also contact you off list. Thanks Tom ---- Original Message ----- From: "Audrey Levine" <midi@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Tom,

I was away and delayed in reading my emails from this list.

Pick 3 of your best songs for your demo; your first song should be your catchiest since you want the listener to sit through the other 2 as well. It is possible that he or she will listen to about 30 seconds of each song.

Regarding your press kit: remember less is more. Take one of those folders with 2 pockets. On one side, place some printed material about yourself: a short bio, some reviews of your songs/concerts, etc. and a picture of yourself. On the other side of the folder/the other pocket, place your cd. Remember to label your cd listing the names of the songs and their copyright dates. You will win brownie points by including the lyrics typed neatly. The copyright dates should be placed at the bottoms of the lyric sheets.

Tom, please know that what I'm telling you is the same advice/information I give my songwriter students all the time. I've been doing this for the past twenty years.

If I can be of any further assistance, write me off list and I will give you my contact info; I am in Nork City. I believe we worked together on the Lighthouse band project back in the 80's.

Take care, and good luck.

Audrey Levine
