I was trying to save as a track template. I don't know enough about Ivory to mess with presets. Here are a couple more things I noticed. When I load sonar there is already an instance of ivory in the synth rack. There are no audio tracks associated with it just that one instance in the synth rack. I have tried to use it and it doesn't appear to be functional. I have to delete it and start over by inserting a new instance. I also can't save any sonar cessions. I get a similar error message and Sonar closes. I talked with the people at sweet water and the tech thinks that it may be a sonar or an ivory bug. The latest version of Ivory is 1.7.21. This is the version I have. Could it be that maybe its not compatible with Sonar 6? I would hate to upgrade and it doesn't fix the problem. Ivory is a Resource hog. When ou were saving templates, were you using the Sae as Track Template command, or were you trying to save some kind of preset within the Ivory interface? Save as Track Template is Correct. Don't sdcrew with presets in the Ivory interface. -----Original Message----- From: ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of neville Sent: Friday, March 20, 2009 12:23 AM To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ddots-l] one more problem with the ivory I managed to get in to the ivory and man I must say the pianos are wonderful. I have been having a real blast just with the presets. I haven't even began to play with the parameters. There is just one problem, I can't save any templates. When I try to save a template with the ivory I get a error message saying that sonar has encountered a fatal error and needs to close. Then Jaws goes silent for a wile. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening? If so how do I fix it? Oh and one more thing. I thought that maybe I should just uninstall the ivory and reinstall it again, but when I looked for it in the add or remove programs in the control panel it was not there. Isn't that strange?
