I'm surprised nothing spoke with cw 3.1. It was a very simple spreadsheet and the currently highlighted cell spoke out of the box for most parameters as I recall. I used to use it with window bridge. We didn't actually get access to pro audio until cw6, when the folks at cakewalk gave me a little slice of code that window bridge could use to track the focus rectangle.

I think my first version of Cakewalk was 3.1. I used the limited vision I
had to operate it. I was introduced to David Pinto by Carl Jacobson of
Cakewalk, or Twelve Tone Systems, as it was known in those days. This would
have been around 1995 or so.David's ffirst innovation had to do with
organizing the screen. While nothing spoke, rearranging the screen elements
according to his suggestion made memorization just that little bit easier.

The first version of "Pro Audio" I had was 5.0. Before that, I briefly used
Cakewalk Express. Before that, it was an ancient version of Cubase on the
Mac that was half-way accessible with OutSpoken.

Now get off my lawn! *smile*

Yep. That's how I got it, too. But I'll bet not many of us on this
list will admit to being old Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 users.

Hi, I upgraded from Cakewalk 9 Which included the encoder. So if you
had it thin, they will email it to you free or supply the link to
download it. I just recently done it. When I got it I saved it to a CD
for future installs or encases of system restores which removes some
programs depending upon how far you send your system back. Robert.

You can actually configure any mp3 encoder, but there's a certain
degree of tech ability needed to manually enter the settings.

Personally, I'd pay for the unlock code from Cakewalk if you have the
spare cash.

I paid for my version and it was set up in 2 seconds.

Cheers

Hi. I want to export to map files and when I attempt to do that,
Hear the encoder needs to be unlocked. What is the best way to go
about this procedure? Thanks allot.
