In a post on Facebook about under- or not-paid amateurs and karaoke
nights, someone said this. I love it and I'm thinking I should print
it large and keep it in my guitar case!!
I wish venues would post a sign at the front door saying something
like the following:
"Warning: tonight we cannot vouch for the entertainment quality as
those on stage are not being paid and therefor cannot be held to any
reasonable standard of acceptable musical presentation quality. They
are doing what they want -not what you want or what we can control
through remuneration.
We apologize for what you are about to endure. Please come back on
nights when we feature professional acts- we trust they will be more
entertaining."
