Subject: [ddots-l] how about blind programmers and developers joining?

HI list members, is it possible for us to ask help on research and development of accessibility tools that we could use like the display reader that is now being sold for k2600 products. What was it that made this product possible and how can that be used as a modle to other music equipment manufacturers? We need to address things like this from the ground up in terms of accessibility and who knows better than the programmers and developers who are also blind what it would take to make such things happen. What i'm saying is that even though many people have different skills and abilities, there is no reason why we can't come together to work on creating accessible ways to read things that are on different types of displays. I know that this has been tried before but we know a lot more now than we did before.

what do you say?
