i there Nathan.
If you are using CakeTalking it comes with an excellent tutorial. You need to read sections of the tutorial such as those to do with adding effects and basic recording. Some places to start might be the following: Lesson <file:///#L2F>2F. A Quick Q and A on How to Record a Project. To be Explained in Much Greater Detail Later. <file:///#L6>LESSON 7. TRACK PANE COLUMNS SPECIFIC TO AUDIO TRACKS. THE BUS PANE. <file:///#L8>LESSON 9. PLAYBACK & RECORDING. INPUT MONITORING. RECORDING INTO MULTIPLE TRACKS.
<file:///#L26G>27G. Clipping.
<file:///#L26H>27H. Recording levels.
<file:///#L27>LESSON 28. AUDIO RECORDING.
<file:///#L29>LESSON 30. INSERTING EFFECTS.

Also, and please do not take offense, but is English not your first language?
