To add to what Bill has said, Office 2013 now has a built in PDF converter.  
And it's pretty good too.

engine, and type the following into the search box:

PDF To MS Word converter

You will find a bunch of them and a number which are free.

In general, I ask list members to use online searches to find information on 
topics that are clearly way off-topic for our list.  If you include the word 
"blind" or "screen reader" in your search text, you will probably find links to 
listservs or blogs dedicated to your topic of interest.  Please, let's keep 
this list focused on its purpose: to discuss accessible audio production with 
reference to CakeTalking from Dancing Dots.
