I seem to remember several years ago when I bought my DAW, the decision that I
made on which sonar version to get partially hinged on the session drummer
issue. That’s why I chose to go with sonar producer.
Hope this helps.

Hi James and the team,
I do not clearly understand what your problem is. Do you have Sonar but annot
use drums anymore on your soft synth?
By the way, I am far away from the studio as I do not have access to it.
Fortunately that I have some projects (two of them) that I had mixed down to
a wave file.
Thank you.

DJX,
I performed a clean install of Sonar Studio 8.5 from the cd. Session Drummer
3 wasn't there nor a 64bit version of Session Drummer 2.
I decided to abandon the idea of using SD2 when I rediscovered Cakewalk's SI
Drum Kit that I downloaded when Cakewalk was giving a bunch of stuff away for
free.
SI Drum Kit sounds just as good as SD2 if not better.
Thanks for attempting to help. :)

James. Did you perform a clean install or upgrad from 8.0?

Subject: [ddots-l] More Session Drummer 2 questions...
Hello all,
According to this Cakewalk link, my copy of Sonar Studio 8.5 should
contain Session Drummer 3.

cakewalk.com%2FPress%2FRelease%2F1142%2F09-15-09-Cakewalk-Announces-SO

But it doesn't, my version is Session Drummer 2.
Anyone else out there using Sonar Studio 8.5, could you confirm
whether you have Session Drummer 2 or Session Drummer 3 please.
(Studio not Producer)
I am at a lost on why I don't have SD3. All I can think of is during
the installation of Sonar Studio it was an option to check but perhaps
I didn't.
And I did install patches 2 and 3 to bring my copy of Sonar Studio up
to 8.5.3.
I am in the process of transitioning my favorite vst plugins for use
in Komplete Kontrol via their third-party plugin feature. I can't get
Komplete Kontrol to recognize my current Session Drummer 2 plugin,
since I believe it is a 32bit plugin. Komplete Kontrol recently
updated their software so that it only recognizes 64bit vst plugins.
Anyways, there you go. Any help would be most appreciated.
James
