Hi Jay,
The only think to which I can answer you is the USB mixer. Yes, I am using one
since last summer, as FireWire is old-fashioned. It is the Yamaha USB USB
Steinberg. Please correct me, shall I make a mistake.
Thank you.

Objet : [ddots-l] What USB mixers are accessible these days in windows?
Hello all
As the subject says I am wondering what USB mixers people are using now? I am
getting frustrated with configuring my current setup of Behringer x18 connected
to an X Touch control surface. I'll probably keep it but if I were to trade it
in, I wouldn't mind a 16 channel with faders, analog controls for EQ Pan ETC.
Something like the Mackie 1404VLZ with a reasonably accessible control panel
for adjusting buffer and sample rate. Just plug in and all analog channel
inputs will record to computer, not a lot of configuration etc.
Any suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Jay
