Hi, in sonar, just record as long as you need. Sonar stops playback once the
longest track is finished playing its material. If you want sonar to do this
though, you need to select the stop at end of project box so that the
playback counter stops...
You don't have to worry about setting a set length for the song though. If I
misunderstood you, sorry; but as John said, it sounds like you want Sonar to
stop once playback is done, which the option for stop at project end is what
you need.

How in Sonar we do to end a projest;
in other words, how we say to sonar where the piece of musi must stop to
avoid to a playback without stop at the end of the piece of music.
