What you want to do is incert a send to a buss that is carrying the reberv affect. Then you will be able to control the levil of the reverb and the levil of the vocal or guitar. In some cases you don't want much reverb at all, you just want enough to make the vocal or guitar colorful. In other cases you may want your reverb to be a little bit more noticeable. It just depends on your own tastes. After you have incerted your send, you'll want to fine toon the settings of the reverb in the inspector of the buss that is carrying the affect.

I hope this helps you.

Subject: [ddots-l] Reverb tips and tricks

Hi folks!

I'm looking for any advice on the use of reverb. I've tried using various
reverb: Cakewalk, Lexicon pantheon, Sony...and, although I get spectacular
results with some instruments, other instruments and voices seem muddy. My
favorite of all of the reverb I've tried is the Lexicon, but even then,
sometimes things aren't as clear as they are without it. Whistles and
flutes seem to love lots of reverb but vocals and guitars seem to be more
difficult. When we record a song, my husband John will ask if I can make
the vocals wetter. When I do, however, it's hard to keep the clarity. What
has anyone else tried? Any advice? Any tried and true settings?

Thanks!

Laurie
