Definitely seconded. The real advantage in sonar is that you can vary effects and mixing levels over time and keep all the source material seperated instead of mixing down into one stereo file every time you add something new.

Yes, Sonar would be best for this.

I'm not talking about simple pasting. I'm talking about a whole song on fx 2 minutes and 10 seconds. Do you think Sonar would bee the best alternative for this purpose?

Are you talking about simple cut and paste, or do you actually want one thing layered on top of another? For the latter, you'll want a multitrack editor, not a simpler editor like Sound Forge. Maybe try doing what you want in Sonar then mixing down to SF for mastering

Well actually I found that SoundForge does something strange when you are going to mix two musical things together. Example: I got a wave file with a piano and I want a flute play as the solo instrument after 10 seconds from the wave file. But when I mix it together the rhytm seems to bee changed by SoundForge itself. Does anyone know how to correct this problem?

Also, I would like to find more about the efects and ow to pan something in a file and maybe other fancy stuff. Can I found these things in that book some of you talked about earlier?

Best regards
Thomas Dalgaard, who doesn't use the scripts for SoundForge since English scripts make strange things on a danish computer...

Personally, I like the scripts for 1. being able to easily read the meters, 2. being able to read everything in all effects dialogs, and 3. being able to skim through and select audio down to very small increments, like 8 or 16 samples. I guess it all depends what you want to do. If you're not interested in going beyond the supplied effects presets for example, then you might not be as interested in the scripts.

You can already access those by just using jaws. What I'm looking for though is a way to test snowman's actual scripts.

Thanks.

well the controls are pretty standard,
space = play
enter = pause
w = rewind

id check out the keyboard commands page in the sound forge help. it has them all listed.

Subject: [ddots-l] snowman's sound forge scripts

Hello All:

I just downloaded the snowman's demo scripts for sound forge, and wanted to test them out to see if my machine works with them as he suggests. I'm new to Sound Forge, and am not really familiar with any of its commands as of yet. Can anyone possibly give me some simple commands or keystrokes to apply, which would test if these scripts are working or not?

Thanks.

Omar Binno
