She needs to make sure that Phantom power is engaged on which ever hardware 
device is being used for input. (i.e.) mixer or professional sound card: also 
correct inputs and outputs are important when attempting to record audio. From 
within Sonar's track view property you can make these selections. Robert.

  Hi all, a friend of mine who lives miles from me has purchased Sonar and 
Caketalking. she ordered a Rode nt1. I no nothing about this microphone, are 
there buttons she needs to press on the microphone as there's no sound just a 
humming noise coming from her sound card when Sonar echo is on?

  Any thoughts will be welcome.
