Hey there Sharon!

Why do you have to go to an FTP site to download instrument definitions? If you can't get them from Cakewalk, then either go to Cakewalk.net or the manufacturers own website.

If you're having any kind of trouble, let me know the particular instrument,
and I'll help. I've been searching like a damned bloodhound recently, for the
instrument definitions of various synths, and I've become rather adept at
finding the little buggers!!!

Hope I can help...

Mike

Subject: [ddots-l] Looking for Instrument Definition ftp Files

Hi guys!

I would like to explore the ftp site in cakewalk to see if I can find the instrument definition I need, but I'm not sure how to go about it. When I click on it, there seems to be no spoken response when I try to refresh the screen and use the arrow keys. Does Windows XP Pro already have what I need to explore and download from ftp sites, or do I need to download an ftp explorer? I did do a search and found various ftp files or references. What should I do?

Thanks for your input!

sharon
