I use cake talking with sonar.
I do an alt i for insert, then y for the soft synth, arrow down to z 3 2, and hit enter. At that point I use page up or home or what ever to get to the top, down arrow a few times and if I click on showcase, it brings up a context menu, and I can arrow down through, arp bass, keyboards, etc. I enter on one of those, hit the jaws curser again and find the beginning of one of the instruments, after left clicking on this, I can again arrow down through the choices. It's a lot more cumbersome than rapture or dimension but it does work, you can even choose Z 3, and I've found that finding some of the presets I've used with that synth, are a lot easier to get to now, since they're all grouped as, keys leads, synths etc.
If there's an easier way I've love to hear about it.

Thanks Greg,

Folow up question, if you say the patch browser can't work, then how do
you access the presets?

Are you saying that Jaws does give you access to all of Za3tar+2 precets
like it did on the old Z3tar+?

I've not found that to be the case at all. You have to make use of the jaws curser but then it's very usable. I don't think the patch browser can work, but I can sure say that about lots of synths dimension and rapture included.
I like it better than the original.

Hello all,

I just got done talking with one of Cakewalk’s reps and based on his
description of the new Z3tar+2 interface, unlike its predecessor Z3tar,
the presets for Z3tar+2 will not be accessible.

It looks like the only preset that will be accessible is the first one
upon loading Z3tar+2, and from there you have to access the rest of the
presets using good old GUI.

I was very disappointed when learned the above,

Ivan
