Hi folks.

I'm having a heck of a time enabling direct monitoring of a couple inputs on my Delta 1010. I have the unit with various connectors on breakout cables.

I'm trying to enable direct monitoring on Analog 1/2, the pair of XLR inputs. I've varified that sufficient audio signal is coming into those inputs in Sonar by setting a track input to Analog 1/2 and enabling input monitoring. The output side is also fine, simply s/pdif to an external DAC. no problems there.

But I can't make much sense of the various tabs in the M-audio Control Pannel.

On the hardware tab, I do a mouse click on the "disable asio direct monitoring" button, . it toggles between graphic 74 and graphic 348, one of them is presumably on, the other off. But, neither state seem to sort things out.

Switching to the Mixer tab, I've tried left clicking on the mute and solo buttons, again with no audible effect.

Does anyone remember how to do this?

There are some times when I want to simply monitor Analog 1/2 without the extra latency of the round trip through Sonar.

thanks for any helpclarification.
I have Skype and of course Jaws Tandom here as well if someone wants to poke around.

Chris
