You don't need to create a drum map if you don't want to change the
sounds. It doesn't matter what key you use to tap the tempo for your
fit improvisation. Drum Map manager is irrelevant to your purposes.

Subject: [ddots-l] Confused About Drum Map

Hi!

I'm a little confused about drum maps.  I don't want to change anything;
I
just want to go into a drum map that already exists and use one of the
side
sticks to fit improvisation. Do I need to create a new map, (which I've

never done before), and, if so, which selection will give me the sounds
that
are listed in the "metronome" page of the options dialog? And how do I
find
out which port I should assign the map to?

Thanks in advance!

Sharon
